about

January 2015

Three songs inspired by, and built around the writing of my internet friend Cammy Morgan, whom I've never met with or spoken to in person. She posted a facebook status update at the end of 2014 that stood out to me, and I asked for permission to use it in a song. It worked better than I hoped, and I soon found myself reading through the back pages of her old blog, once more (she is possibly the only facebook friend that I know only through livejournal). Cammy's writing is achingly human, honest, poetic and completely unpretentious. These are qualities I aspire towards in my own songwriting, and in lieu of the real thing, it felt REALLY good to borrow her words. It took a lot of editing and adapting to turn her posts into songs that I could sing in a way that felt honest, so any awkwardness or pretentiousness in the final result is all mine, but I am as happy with and proud of these three songs as I am with anything I have ever done before.

about

Moongazing Hare Copenhagen, Denmark

I try to keep myself warm, calm, loved and out of harm's way. The music is desperately home made and mostly well-intentioned.
